The British Council is proud to be supporting the 25th International Radio Playwriting Competition. This is a unique opportunity to tell your story and have it heard by a truly global audience. You don't need to be an established writer to enter – one of last year's winners had never written a play before, so what have you got to lose?
There are two first prize categories – one for writers with English as their first language and one for writers with English as their second language. There is also a prize for the script which shows the most promise, with the opportunity to take part in a two-week residency with the BBC's London Radio Drama department and BBC World Service

Your play must be in English, unpublished and must not have been previously produced in any medium. The deadline for entries is 31 January 2016.
