Computer Based Exams

British Council  Kenya administers both paper based and computer based exams on behalf of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

The paper based exams are sat three times in a year, whilst the computer based exams can be sat on demand upon registration with us.

Computer based exams are available for the first seven foundation level exams of the ACCA qualification only. They are not available for the specialist and knowledge papers.

ACCA CBE exams includes; F1, F2, F3, F4 (ACCA Qualification), FA1, MA1, FA2, MA2 (Foundation in Accountancy) , FAB, FFA, FMA (Foundation in Accountancy)

ACCA COMPUTER BASED EXAMS:

ACCA computer based exams F1 - F4 are registered at the British Council

ACCA computer based exams F1 - F4 are also administered by the  British Council and are held at the same venue 

ACCA computer based exams F5 - F9 are registered directly with ACCA

ACCA computer based exams F5 - F9 are held at an external  venue

ACCA Pen and Paper exams are held at an external venue. 

 

How to Register

All registration processes are carried out directly by ACCA for the paper based exams. For the computer based exams, registration is done with the British Council Kenya. 

Please note we are currently not administering ACCA computer-based exams. We will communicate once we resume testing.

For computer based exams simply fill in the registration form found at the bottom of this page and submit it at the British Council Nairobi office in Upper Hill with the proof of payment. The test dates are available to download at the bottom of this page.

Please remember to indicate the date you wish to sit the exams.

How to Pay

Payments are made directly to ACCA for the paper based exams. For the computer based exams, payments are made through the British Council at any branch of Standard Chartered Bank in Kenya using the British Council Virtual Account Deposit Slip.

Please note we are currently not administering ACCA computer-based exams. We will communicate once we resume testing. Please contact us before you make payment.

Bank Transfer:

  • You may make payment via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or RTGS with the relevant details to facilitate the same being as shown below
  • All bank transfer charges should be factored in when making the bank transfer and must be cleared before your application is confirmed 
  • Payments made without the transfer fees will be deducted automatically

Online Payments:

  • Payments can also be made using a bank credit or debit card 
  • All candidates should print their payment confirmation and attach to their application 

Cash Deposit through the bank:

  • Please deposit Cash only (we do not accept cheques).
  • Kindly note that we do not accept Mpesa Payments or direct ATM deposits. 
  • Payments made by bank transfer must include bank charges and will need to be cleared before your application is confirmed.
  • All cash deposit payments should be made at Standard Chartered bank - any branch.
  • Use the British Council Virtual Account Deposit Slips available in all Standard Chartered bank branches to make your payment 
  • Follow the instructions below to complete the virtual account deposit slip:
  1. Ensure that your full candidate name is clearly indicated in the student name section. Your name must match the document (passport / ID) that you used to register with .
  2. Candidates are required to bring their original Kenyan ID OR original and valid passport. Kindly note that if you do not hold a Kenyan ID you must bring your country's original and valid passport with you on your exam day (We do not accept Alien ID cards).Your name on the bank slip must match this document
  3. In the ‘select the appropriate exam and indicate ID number of candidate in boxes’ field first tick the box of the exam that you are taking.
  4. Under the "Reference Code " Tab, this will be generated and issued to you by the British Council Customer Service Registration desk.
  5. Under the  ‘Select the Appropriate Exam and Indicate its Virtual Account Number' Tab, enter the corresponding  ACCA Exam Virtual Account number: 9906918389733
  • Note: It is important to enter correct information in the fields to prevent delays with tracking your payment.
  • Kindly note that you are still required to bring in the yellow slip copy to British Council to complete your registration.
